The Sigma 105mm f/2.8 DG DN Macro Art Lens is designed to be used with camera bodies featuring the Leica L lens mount. This prime short-telephoto is optimised for macro use, a short focusing distance of only 29.5cm and a working 14cm distance. For further accurate reproduction rendering of close-up subjects, this lens features a life-size 1:1 ratio.
One SLD (Special Low Dispersion) element is incorporated to assist in realizing high clarity and colour accuracy, this is achieved by suppressing aberrations and colour fringing. The nine-blade rounded diaphragm produces a smooth bokeh. Flare and ghosting are suppressed by the application of a Super Multi-Layer Coating for greater contrast.
The Sigma 105mm f/2.8 DG DN Macro Art Lens features a Hyper-Sonic Motor providing quick and quiet autofocus performance benefiting both still and video applications. A focus limiter switch also helps to boost focusing speed and precision, and there is also a customizable AFL button and dedicated focus mode switch.
