This Is The GoPro Hero4: 4K Video At 30FPS

Meet the new range of GoPro Hero4 cameras, and watch the epic launch video, "The Adventure of Life in 4K."

GoPro has unleashed a new trio of action cameras: The Hero4 Black, Hero4 Silver, and the new entry-level camera simply titled Hero.

But first things first: as with GoPro's previous camera announcements, they have launched the new cameras with an all new montage video. The Adventure of Life in 4K showcases a wider range of uses for the small action cameras, from music festivals to scientific expeditions, with absolutely epic footage all around.

Here's the new cameras:

The GoPro Hero4 Black's headline feature is the ability to record 4K video at 30 frames per second, and 1080p video at 120 fps - both specifications that will make filmmakers very happy. The GoPro Hero4 Silver can record 2.7K video at 30 fps, and 1080p video at 60 fps, but it does pack a built-in touchscreen display, which the Black version does not have. We're assuming that the latter's exclusion of the display leaves more space for a large battery needed to support decent longevity while recording 4K video.

GoPro also revealed a brand new entry-level Hero camera with a lower price and 1080p60 video capture - ideal for those interested in recording their adventures without breaking the bank.

We don't have local pricing and availability information yet, but the new cameras are launching in the US within the next few weeks, and should retail at similar pricing to existing models.
