Canon recently revealed the new Canon XF405 Professional 4K Camcorder. This feature packed 4K capable camcorder is ideal for newsgatherers looking for a small, light camcorder with network capability and for those interested in documentary production.
Powering the Canon XF405 is a large 8.29MP 1-inch sensor capable of recording 4K UHD video at 50p, as well as slow-motion recording up to 100fps in Full HD. An adjustable 3.5-inch touch panel LCD monitor and a built-in 0.24-inch electronic viewfinder enhance usability, and the detachable handle helps the XF405 to operate in a variety of shooting situations. Designed to meet the needs of professionals, the XF405 also includes a few other standout features, including: dual DIGIC DV 6 image processors, dual SD card slots, 3G-SDI output, 15x optical zoom lens with IS, Dual Pixel CMOS AF, 4K/FHD 4:2:2 via HDMI (At select frame rates), and the above-mentioned adjustable 3.5" touch LCD.
