In pictures, the Andrei Stenin International Press Photo Contest Winner's Exhibition 2017 - sponsored and printed by Orms Print Room & Framing.
In honour of Andrei Stenin, a photojournalist who was killed in the line of duty in Ukraine, the Rossiya Segodnya International Information Agency founded The Andrei Stenin International Press Photo Contest, an annual contest for photojournalists aged between 18 and 33.
The aim is to support these young photographers and promote the goals of contemporary photojournalism. The contest also gives attention to the challenges of photojournalism in today's world and showcases talented photographers who are sensitive and open-minded, drawing the public's attention to certain events that we may be unaware of.
The competition is Russia's only platform for photographers to make a name for themselves and is organised under the auspices of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO.
This year's shortlist is currently on display at Eclectica Print Gallery and is of an exceptionally high level of photography. The winning entries include 50 works from Russian, Spanish, Greek, Serbia, Italy, India, China and South Africa's very own Phandulwazi Jikelo for the image below.
